{"id":231899,"date":"2021-05-05T20:57:52","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T17:57:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/?p=231899"},"modified":"2021-05-05T21:44:41","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T18:44:41","slug":"water-resources-minister-affirms-government-will-take-measures-to-confront-drop-in-water-level-in-euphrates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=231899","title":{"rendered":"Water Resources Minister affirms Government will take measures to confront drop in water level of Euphrates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deir Ezzor, SANA-Minister of Water Resources, Tammam Ra\u2019ad, inspected on Wednesday the situation of the water system in Deir Ezzor and the measures taken to confront the drop in the level of Euphrates water as Turkey seizes quantities of Syria\u2019s share in the river\u2019s water.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-231901 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/2-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minister\u2019s tour included the two projects of the 3rd and 5th sectors\u00a0 for the agricultural irrigation and drinking water stations in all of Mahkan, Mu Hassan and Ayyash.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to journalists, Minister Ra\u2019ad said that the decline of drainage of Euphrates River\u2019s water to less than 50% of the import starting from the point of its entry to the Syrian territories was reflected in the decrease of water drainage in riverbed in different levels and sites of irrigation as well as drinking water stations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that \u201cthe situation is reassuring\u201d in terms of securing drinking water and level of agricultural irrigation pumps where all measures were taken by the authorities concerned, and vehicles were brought from Aleppo and Homs to bulldoze canals and riverbed in the third section to secure the return of water flow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister stressed that the reason behind the decline is the water suspension from the Turkish side whom we demand to release the water as per the just share determined for all of Syrian and Iraq.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added \u201cwe also call on the international community and organizations to interfere in this issue in order to return the flow of Euphrates water,\u201d indicating that the continuation of this condition threatens the water security in all of Raqqa, Der Ezzor and Hassaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baraa Ali\/ Mazen Eyon<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deir Ezzor, SANA-Minister of Water Resources, Tammam Ra\u2019ad, inspected on Wednesday the situation of the water system in Deir Ezzor and the measures taken to confront the drop in the level of Euphrates water as Turkey seizes quantities of Syria\u2019s share in the river\u2019s water.
