New York, SANA- Security Council on Friday unanimously adopted a resolution on extending \u201ccross-border aid delivery operation\u201d for extra six months.<\/p>\n
The Council adopted the draft resolution on delivering\u00a0 the aid to Syria through Bab al-Hawa crossing and extending the effects of\u00a0 resolution no.2533 for\u00a0 year 2020 for more six months.<\/p>\n
During a session of the Security Council following the adoption of the resolution, Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations, Bassam Sabbagh, said that the two delegations of Russia and China, in addition to other delegations exerted efforts to shed light on sides that serve improving the humanitarian condition and delivering aid to those who are in need inside Syria.<\/p>\n
Sabbagh added that the western states insisted to ignore those sides and focused only on extending \u201ccross-border aid delivery operation\u201d that serves their agendas.<\/p>\n
He\u00a0 stressed that the Western states\u00a0 turn a blind eye to\u00a0 Syrians\u2019 suffering and they continue\u00a0 to violate Syria\u2019s sovereignty and besiege\u00a0 its people.<\/p>\n
Sabbagh added that Syria refuses that politicized operation as it violates the country\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to the grave faults that shaped\u00a0 its work along with the failure in ensuring delivering the aid to the needy people, not to the terrorists.<\/p>\n
The Syrian diplomat\u00a0 stressed that the exaggeration of\u00a0 some states in describing that operation is\u00a0 misleading which aims to affect feelings of\u00a0 the public opinion.<\/p>\n
Syria\u2019s Representative to the UN concluded by saying that Syria is committed to fulfilling the humanitarian needs for its citizens and providing support for those who are in need to alleviate the negative repercussions caused by the terrorist war.<\/p>\n
