Damascus, SANA \u2013 Syrian Special Olympics team will participate in the 7th FAZAA International Athletics Competition due to be held in Dubai on February 15th.<\/p>\n
Athletes Mohammed Khaled al-Mohammed, Bassam Sousaq, Alaa Abdul-Salam, AbdulHakim al-Bakr, Shadi Issa, Rasha al-Sheikh, Noura Baddour and Natali Elias will take part in the competitions.<\/p>\n
The team is currently conducting a training camp at Tishreen Sports Hall in preparation for the competitions with the aim of improving their performance and capabilities.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Special Olympics team has made remarkable achievements in 2014. Al-Mohammed earned 5 gold medals in shot put and a silver in javelin in the international championships held in the UAE and China, in addition to winning a gold medal in shot put and a silver in javelin at the Asian Second Paralympics organized in South Korea.<\/p>\n
