{"id":249163,"date":"2021-09-23T06:57:36","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T03:57:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/?p=249163"},"modified":"2021-09-23T10:01:46","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T07:01:46","slug":"al-jaafari-racial-discrimination-is-global-plague-which-negatively-affects-human-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=249163","title":{"rendered":"Al-Jaafari: Racial discrimination is global plague which negatively affects human rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New York, SANA- UN General Assembly held on Wednesday a high-level meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of adopting the declaration and work plan of Durban on racial discrimination .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Bashar al-Jaafari said that Syria&#8217;s delegation welcomes convening this international conference which is considered as a remarkable event in the struggle to improve the lives of millions of people who are victims of discrimination and extremism all over the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;While a progress has been achieved since 2001, there is a continuous need for a genuine political will to implement the declaration and its program which adopts long-term measures to combat racism with all its forms, including combating poverty, boosting education and realizing development,&#8221; al-Jaafari said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this context, al-Jaafari added that the Israeli occupation authorities still adopt the policy of racial discrimination against Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan through violating their right of self-determination and their right in life, work, health, education, while the Palestinians are subjected to the utmost practices of discrimination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al-Jaafari added that racial discrimination and hatred of foreigners is a dangerous global plague which negatively affect the human rights, affirming that Syria is committed to exert all efforts to overcome this plague and it calls for providing a political will and international cooperation to tackle all forms of racism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mazen Eyon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New York, SANA- UN General Assembly held on Wednesday a high-level meeting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of adopting the declaration and work plan of Durban on racial discrimination .
