{"id":250762,"date":"2021-10-08T18:12:36","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T15:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/?p=250762"},"modified":"2021-10-08T18:12:36","modified_gmt":"2021-10-08T15:12:36","slug":"arch-of-triumph-in-lattakia-a-historical-landmark-bears-witness-to-its-antiquity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=250762","title":{"rendered":"Arch of Triumph in Lattakia &#8230; a historical landmark bears witness to its antiquity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lattakia, SANA- The \u201cArch of Triumph\u201d is one of the most significant landmarks in Lattakia city, a witness to the its history, its antiquity, the grandeur of architecture, and the mastery of Syrian builders that made it stand for more than two thousand years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Arch-of-Triumph-in-Lattakia1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-250764 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Arch-of-Triumph-in-Lattakia1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is situated in al-Salibeh neighborhood to the western side of al-Taabiyat avenue, and to the north of Bacchus Temple.<\/p>\n<p>The arch was named by Tetrapylon or \u201cHanging Church\u201d , according to head of Lattakia Department of Antiquities, Ibrahim Khair Beik.<\/p>\n<p>The arch was built of sand stone square-shaped 12 meters long and 16 meters high, topped by a hemispherical dome and has four door ways.
