Western calendar on Sunday celebrated Easter (the resurrection of Jesus Christ), the Prophet of peace and love, by holding prayers and masses at the churches and places of worship.<a href=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1-45.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-269577 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/1-45.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchal Cathedral of the Dormition of Our Lady in al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Damascus, a religious mass was held, presided by His Beatitude Patriarch Youssef al-Absi, Patriarch of Antioch and All East of the Melkite Greek Catholics<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf our personal faith has not changed our lives towards a better humanitarian life, then it is difficult for us to transfer this faith to those who come after us, since the resurrection of Jesus Christ was to endow us with a new and immortal life with Almighty God, so we must believe first since the resurrection is the compass that determines our behavior on earth and that it instills joy, forgiveness, hope and peace in our hearts,\u201d Patriarch al-Absi said in a speech.<a href=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/2-24.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-269578 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/107.6.182.27\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/2-24.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al-Absi added \u201cwe believe that life will flourish thanks to the solid faith, resilience and amity of the Syrian people, and the unjust sanctions will be lifted and difficulties will be overcome and Syria will recover.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cToday, we end our fasting, and after a week our Orthodox brothers and after two weeks our Muslim brothers, so we ask God to accept everyone\u2019s fasting, and spread peace in our region and the whole world.\u201d al-Absi said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He concluded his speech by praying to God Almighty to protect
