Damascus, SANA- With the participation of President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad, the National Museum in Damascus witnessed on Wednesday evening an event to celebrate the 106th<\/sup> Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day.<\/p>\n

The celebration, which was held by the Ministries of Defense and Culture, included a number of families of martyrs and their outstanding sons, representatives of the army and armed forces, holders of medals of merit, directors of martyrs\u2019 offices in the provinces, members of the diplomatic corps, intellectuals and artists, owners of civil initiatives, and representatives of the external media.<\/p>\n

The celebration was attended by the Minister of Defense, who delivered the ceremony’s speech, and the Ministers of Culture, the Presidency of the Republic and the Interior.<\/p>\n
