Damascus, SANA_ Power supply returned to southern\u00a0provinces of Daraa and Sweida after two days of a\u00a0sabotage terrorist attack against gas pipelines in\u00a0the southern region, a source at the Electricity\u00a0Ministry said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Monday night terrorists launched an\u00a0attack on gas pipelines supplying power generating\u00a0stations in the southern area, causing their break\u00a0down, Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis said,\u00a0indicating that the problems would be fixed as\u00a0soon as possible.<\/p>\n
The source told SANA Wednesday night that\u00a0maintenance teams worked hard since Tuesday\u00a0morning and rehabilitated the gas pipeline, high\u00a0voltage towers and power supply transmission lines\u00a0which were damaged by the terrorist attack.<\/p>\n
Power section has been targeted by terrorists\u00a0since the beginning of the crisis and its losses\u00a0till end of 2014 were estimated by SYP 400 billion\u00a0while 170 employees lost their lives while doing\u00a0their jobs in maintenance.<\/p>\n
