Tokyo, SANA 50 murals representing the most\u00a0prominent archeological and tourist sites in\u00a0Syria were displayed at the Syrian heritage\u00a0exhibition held by the Municipality of the\u00a0Japanese city of Minnatoko, in cooperation with\u00a0the Syrian Embassy in Japan.<\/p>\n
The exhibition presented explanation of these\u00a0sites and the damages caused to them as a result\u00a0of terrorist organizations’ attacks.<\/p>\n
The exhibition, which will last till 12 March,\u00a0also included a section dedicated for the Syrian\u00a0traditional and handicrafts productions.<\/p>\n
Syria’s Charge D’Affaires in Tokyo Warif al-Halabi\u00a0talked , in a statement in English and Japanese,\u00a0about the importance of the Syrian cultural\u00a0heritage, illustrating the systematic destruction
\ncommitted at the hands of the terrorist\u00a0organizations against these treasures.<\/p>\n
Al-Halabi hailed the Syrian government’s efforts\u00a0in protecting this heritage, urging the\u00a0international community to support these efforts.
\nHe underlined that the event aims at highlighting\u00a0the importance of the cultural heritage and the\u00a0challenges facing it in light of some regional and\u00a0international countries’ support to the terrorist
\norganizations in Syria.<\/p>\n
The Syrian official warned against the growing\u00a0danger of these organizations which targeted Japan\u00a0through the killing of the two Japanese hostages\u00a0at the hand of ISIS terrorists, calling for\u00a0mobilizing international efforts to support\u00a0Syria’s efforts in fighting terrorism.<\/p>\n
For his part, Director of the International\u00a0Relations at the Municipality of Minnatoko thanked\u00a0the Syrian Embassy for fruitful cooperation in\u00a0organizing this exhibition, appreciating the deep-
\nrooted cultural heritage of Syria.<\/p>\n
