New York, SANA- Syria\u2019s permanent representative to the UN, Bassam Sabbagh, said that USA, France, UK, and Germany are still spreading misinformation and misleading world public opinion to escape their involvement in shedding the blood of the Syrians and backing terrorism and imposing unilateral coercive measures for further suffering to the Syrian people.<\/p>\n
Sabbagh, in a statement at UN Security council session on the humanitarian and political issues in Syria, said that the Counterproductive policies by some member states prevented the security council dealing seriously with hundreds of letters addressed to the UN on aggression and violations of Syria\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome states persist to prevent the Security Council from resuming its responsibilities in relation to stopping the crimes of the Israeli occupation and holding it responsible,\u201d Sabbagh added.<\/p>\n
He went on to say that Syria has always called for protecting and promoting human rights away from political considerations, still, they are politicized by others.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe West keeps politicizing the humanitarian and development work along with imposing coercive measures on Syria, the issue that hindered securing items needed for searching and rescuing the earthquake victims,\u201d Sabbagh said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe call on those countries to abolish their hostile policies, and offer solidarity to the Syrian people in the earthquake catastrophe,\u201d Sabbagh added, urging them to end the Syrian people suffering by supporting financial commitments sufficient to ease repercussions of the earthquake.<\/p>\n
