Damascus, SANA- Faculty of Dental Medicine at Damascus University won a gold medal at Moscow international Salon of inventions and innovation technologies \u201cArchimedes\u201d which was held from 28-29 March.<\/p>\n
Professor Dr. Jehad Abo Nassar and researcher Dr. Alaa al-Debs obtained the medal for their invention of the Spinal dental implant.<\/p>\n
Abo Nassar told SANA reporter that the invention includes manufacturing local spinal implants in Syria with new and particular design m noting that the implants are made of zirconia with spines fixed in the bone and can be implanted immediately after tooth extraction.<\/p>\n
Abo Nassar pointed out the dentistry faculty\u2019s interest to encourage the students inventors , teach the methods of inventing by holding numerous training courses and successive workshops and how to apply inventions on the ground.<\/p>\n
