{"id":3106,"date":"2014-06-12T19:13:45","date_gmt":"2014-06-12T16:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sanasyria.org\/en\/?p=3106"},"modified":"2014-07-19T14:29:24","modified_gmt":"2014-07-19T11:29:24","slug":"social-affairs-minister-laments-apathy-over-grave-violations-against-syrian-refugee-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=3106","title":{"rendered":"Social affairs minister laments apathy over grave violations against Syrian refugee children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"color: #800000\">Damascus, (SANA)<\/span> International organizations are turning a blind eye to grave violations against the children of Syrian families dwelling in refugee camps outside Syria, Minister of Social Affairs Kinda al-Shammat said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Al-Shammat was speaking during a workshop co-organized with UNICEF, the United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund, on the occasion of the World Day against Child Labor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">The minister stressed that efforts must be ratcheted up for ensuring that Syrian children in refugee camps are protected especially that, she says, &#8220;the humanitarian file should remain far from politicization.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sanasyria.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3108\" src=\"http:\/\/sanasyria.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637-2-300x159.jpg\" alt=\"\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637-2-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637-2-150x79.jpg 150w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/\u0627\u0644\u0634\u0645\u0627\u0637-2.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">The participants in the workshop demanded that UNICEF keeps a close watch on the displaced families living in refugee camps abroad and monitor violations against them that have taken on numerous forms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Focus was put on the role that media should play in raising awareness about child labor and its regulating laws.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Syrian children in refugee camps outside Syria have been susceptible to dire violations, including child labor, as estimates indicate that thousands of them are being forced to work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">The World Day against Child Labor, which is held every year on June 12, is intended to foster the worldwide movement against child labor in any of its forms. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">M.
