Damascus, SANA- Supported by the Syrian government, General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees<\/p>\n
(GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) on
\nThursday delivered more humanitarian aid to residents of al-Yarmouk Camp, Damascus countryside, who
\nare besieged by the terrorist organizations.<\/p>\n
Director-General of GAPAR Ali Mustafa told SANA Friday that the last amount of assistance distributed in
\nPalestine and Nisreen streets in the camp and in al-Tadamon neighborhood under the supervision of the
\nSupreme Committee for Relief contained 347 food packages.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, 500 food packages were distributed to residents of Yarmouk Camp and eighteen\u00a0patients were evacuated<\/p>\n
Mustafa clarified that 58738 food and 11618 hygiene packages have been distributed since January 30th
\n2014.<\/p>\n
”11 patients were taken out of the Camp to Damascus hospitals bringing the number to 4682,” Mustafa
\nadded.<\/p>\n
On March 5th, Anwar Abdul-Hadi, Director of the Political Bureau of the Palestine Liberation Organization
\n(PLO) in Damascus announced the resumption of aid distribution in the terrorist- besieged Yarmouk
\nCamp after a three-month interruption.<\/p>\n
The neighborhood, which is located in southern Damascus city, came under the terrorist\u00a0Organizations’ siege in late 2012 and since then the delivery of humanitarian aid has been\u00a0repeatedly suspended under incessant attempts by terrorists to disrupt it.<\/p>\n
