Damascus, SANA- Participants at the Syrian Woman Forum, which concluded activities on Monday, stressed the importance of increasing the representation of Syrian woman in all legislative and executive institutions , as well as expanding her role in the People\u2019s Assembly’s national reconciliation committees.<\/p>\n
The participants in the Forum, which was held by the General Women Union in coordination with the Education and Cultural ministries, called for outlining a strategy for upbringing children and establishing communications with women living in temporary residential l centers to provide them with psychological, economic and social support.<\/p>\n
They also called for coordinating with women preachers to expose takfiri thought that targets generations\u2019 minds and focusing on the values of coexistence in the Syrian community.<\/p>\n
The participants pointed to the importance of promoting a culture of citizenship and raising awareness to reach rural women in all provinces and prod women towards science and technology and encourage them to complete post-graduate studies irrespective of their age.<\/p>\n
They asserted on the importance of reviewing laws related to inheritance and adopting strict penalties against domestic violence practiced against women.<\/p>\n
