Damascus, SANA- Journalists’\u00a0Union in Syria held on Tuesday at Al-Assad Library a celebration on the occasion of its fiftieth foundation anniversary in the presence of Hussein Arnous, the\u00a0prime minister several other ministers in addition to a group of journalists who were honored too.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe journalists are soldiers of the word, right and truth, and they are the voice of the people,\u201d Arnous said, appreciating the role of the Journalists’\u00a0Union that offered many martyrs and wounded for the sake of Syria\u2019s dignity while covering the victories of the Syrian Arab Army against terror, extending his congratulations to all those working in the media field.<\/p>\n

Chairman\u00a0of the Syrian\u00a0Journalists\u2019 Union, Moussa Abdelnour,, stressed that honoring media men \u00a0is an important station to celebrate national media expertise in light of the journalists\u2019 commitment to the nation\u2019s issues and their readiness to make sacrifices alongside the Syrian Arab Army, noting their sacrifices for the sake of the right and truth.<\/p>\n

50 journalists from the pioneering generation were honored with shields as an appreciation of their efforts, effective and important role in the media profession.<\/p>\n
