Deir Ezzor, SANA- Public Security Department in Deir Ezzor governorate has arrested the leader of a kidnap gang along with a number of his accomplices who abducted a citizen last Monday evening.<\/p>\n
The Director of the Public Security Department in Deir Ezzor governorate explained via the governorate’s official Telegram channel that the directorate received a report about the kidnapping of citizen Mohammed Jamal Alloush (one of the city’s residents) last Monday evening.<\/p>\n
Following the abduction, the criminal gang began negotiating with his family, demanding a ransom of USD 35,000 for his release and extorting them by sending photos documenting his torture.<\/p>\n
The Director confirmed that as soon as the report was received, the security services began gathering information, searching, and investigating the gang members.<\/p>\n
Through analysis of the available data, it was possible to reach the leader of the criminal gang and accurately identify him.<\/p>\n
Last night, two units of security forces carried out a precise raid on the location where the abductee was being held, and he was released safely.<\/p>\n
The leader of the gang and a number of his accomplices were arrested, while the search operations are still ongoing to arrest the rest of the gang members.<\/p>\n
The detainees were transferred to the investigation department for referral to the judiciary to receive the punishment they deserve.<\/p>\n
