Damascus, SANA-Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Musab al-Ali, held a phone call on Tuesday with his Turkish counterpart, Kemal Memi\u015fo\u011flu, to discuss avenues for cooperation aimed at revitalizing Syria\u2019s healthcare sector.<\/p>\n
The two ministers focused on strengthening collaborative ties between the two countries to enhance the responsiveness of Syria\u2019s healthcare system and improve services provided to citizens.<\/p>\n
They also discussed the sector\u2019s requirements for advancing medical standards by leveraging Turkey\u2019s expertise in this field.<\/p>\n
Dr. al-Ali emphasized the importance of exchanging medical expertise to support the healthcare sectors in both nations, highlighting Syria\u2019s urgent need for increased international support to address the worsening health and humanitarian crises caused by current circumstances.<\/p>\n
For his part, Memi\u015fo\u011flu affirmed Turkey\u2019s readiness to provide comprehensive support to Syria in the health sector, including immediate aid and long-term initiatives.<\/p>\n
He noted that Turkish support would extend to strengthening Syria\u2019s healthcare infrastructure to meet its growing needs, especially as the sector is facing significant challenges due to due to the current circumstances in the country.<\/p>\n
The Turkish Minister of Health also announced plans for an upcoming visit to Syria to assess the healthcare situation firsthand and finalize joint cooperation agreements between the two countries.<\/p>\n
