Damascus, SANA-<\/span><\/em> Tourism Minister Mazen al-Salhani inaugurated on Saturday\u00a0 the Art House Hotel, a 5-star establishment located in the Mezzeh district of Damascus.<\/p>\n

The hotel spans over 700 square meters, comprises four floors, and features ten uniquely themed rooms, each named after a renowned artist and adorned with elements related to their work. Additionally, the hotel provides approximately 45 job opportunities.<\/p>\n

In a statement to SANA\u2019s correspondent, majd chourbaji, Chairwoman of Glory International Company, noted: “Since my arrival in Syria, I began investing out of love and duty rather than purely economic interest. As Syria progresses in its recovery, I turned my attention to the hospitality sector and invested in Art House Hotel, distinguished by its unique artistic symbolism as the only hotel of its kind in Syria.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, hotel director Pierre Bashir al-Khoury emphasized that hotels serve as a country\u2019s cultural and touristic facade. The inauguration of Art House Hotel marks a significant milestone, adding value to Syria\u2019s tourism resurgence.<\/p>\n

Human Resources Manager Nizar Yard described Art House as a groundbreaking addition to the tourism and hospitality sector. He highlighted its dedication to the arts, featuring portraits of cultural, artistic, and creative personalities. The hotel integrates both Eastern and Western designs and houses a distinguished exhibition hall, as well as venues for classical and oriental musical performances.<\/p>\n

Rania Obeid, Director of Glory International Gallery within the hotel, explained that Art House is an ancient heritage site dating back approximately 400 years. Initially, it functioned as a salt mill before being repurposed as a grain storage facility, eventually returning to its original role as a mill.<\/p>\n
