Damascus, SANA-The Republic Championship for Karate Clubs and Sports Centers concluded Tuesday at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus. Over 500 male and female athletes participated in the competition, across the U12, U14, and U16 age categories.<\/p>\n

In the individual male Kata events, Issa Hamisha won gold in the U12 category. The team Kata gold went to al-Walid Ahmad, Zain al-Abidin Fahsa, and Mohammad al-Jamal.<\/p>\n

For individual male Kata in the U16 category, Ghaith Abdel Hamid secured first place. In the team male Kata for the same category, Ibrahim Mahous, Kaliar Khalou, and Abdel Baqi Berri emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

The results for individual Kumite (fighting) were as follows:
\n\u2022Hood Salloum won at 28 kg.
\n\u2022Khalid al-Hamawi at 31 kg.
\n\u2022Hamza Suleiman at 35 kg.
\n\u2022Taha al-Kurdi at 39 kg.
\n\u2022Abdullah Hammoud at 40 kg.
\n\u2022Mohammad Yazan al-Najjar at 45 kg.
\n\u2022Taim Jammoul at 52 kg.
\n\u2022Abdel Hadi al-Bunni at 75 kg.
\n\u2022Mayar Barghouth at 50 kg.
\n\u2022Abdel Rahim Darwish at 55 kg.
\n\u2022Issa al-Karnazi won at 60 kg.
\n\u2022Mayar al-Zarba won in the over 60 kg category.
\n\u2022Mohammad al-Nashar won at 63 kg.
\n\u2022Mohammad Khorma at 70 kg.
\n\u2022Nart Janbay in the over 70 kg category.<\/p>\n

At the end of the championship, the champions were crowned in a celebratory atmosphere, amidst a large audience consisting of the players’ families, coaches, and fans of the sport, who engaged enthusiastically with the strong performances of the young athletes.<\/p>\n
