Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in coordination with the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat), discussed at the workshop on Tuesday\u00a0 preparing \u201cThe Report of Housing Situation\u201d in Syria.<\/p>\n

Deputy minister of Public Works and Housing Marie Claire al-Tali said that\u2019\u2019 the workshop aims at determining the situation of the population in Syria and discussing the preparation of a comprehensive national report, which will be the first reference in developing a national housing strategy, based on accurate data, scientific analysis, and a realistic vision, to respond to the challenges and aspirations of Syrians.<\/p>\n

She added that \u2018\u2019the workshop also aims to ensure the return of the displaced Syrians to their areas in a dignified and safe way, in addition to deal with the challenges of the reconstruction process and housing policies.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director of the \u201cHabitat\u201d program in Syria, Felicity Cain, pointed out the\u201d importance of teamwork and cooperation to complete the housing situation report in Syria, in a way that serves building the housing strategy during the next stage, especially since the program is working for a better and sustainable urban future\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
