Damascus, SANA \u2013 Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Lahham on Tuesday discussed in a phone call with Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani the escalating situation in the region and means to deal with the repercussions of some governments’ interferences in countries’ internal affairs.<\/p>\n
Larijani affirmed Iran’s strong support for Syria and Iraq in their battle against Takfiri terrorism which is being backed by Arab and regional states.<\/p>\n
For his part, al-Lahham expressed appreciation on behalf of the Syrian people for Iran’s firm principles and support for Syria and the Palestinian people, voicing relief over Iran’s success in proving its rights in terms of the nuclear file.<\/p>\n
The two sides also stressed the need to stop the Saudi aggression on Yemen via political initiatives that end bloodshed and find a political solution for the situation.<\/p>\n
