Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Asaad Al-Shibani, said on Thursday that Syria that we see today resembles the Syrian people.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the past months, the Syrian diplomacy has not accepted the deteriorated situation that we have inherited, and there has been a tireless movement to regain Syria’s international presence,\u201d Minister al-Shaibani said during a celebration to launch the New Visual Identity of the Syrian Arab Republic at the people\u2019s Palace.<\/p>\n
The Minister added \u201cWe met with many leaders who affirmed that they will provide support to our people to rebuild Homeland, and we carried, in each meeting, a new face for Syria.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to restore Damascus to its position as the gateway to the East, and our efforts were crowned to restore Syria to its position among the nations,\u201d Minister al-Shaibani added.<\/p>\n
Foreign Minister went on to say \u201cour efforts were crowned by the lifting of sanctions and the raising of the flag of Syria at the UN headquarters.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSyria that we see today resembles the Syrian people, and the Syrian symbolism today is more open to reflect the Syrian man, his culture and his land,\u201d the Minister added.<\/p>\n
Al-Shaibani affirmed that recognizing the diversity of the Syrian people is a starting point towards the future, and today is a declaration of cultural death to what the ousted regime has represented of oppression and corruption.<\/p>\n
