{"id":363260,"date":"2025-07-08T09:26:19","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T06:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=363260"},"modified":"2025-07-08T09:26:19","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T06:26:19","slug":"damascus-launches-2025-summer-club-festival-as-part-of-damascus-prepares-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=363260","title":{"rendered":"Damascus launches 2025 Summer Club Festival as part of \u201cDamascus Prepares\u201d initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Damascus, SANA- Minister of Culture, Mohammad Yassin Saleh, and Damascus Governor, Maher Marwan, inaugurated the 2025 Summer Club Festival Monday evening as part of the \u201cDamascus Prepares\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative reflects the Governorate\u2019s commitment to promote athletic and cultural activities and creating a stimulating environment that nurtures the potential of children, adolescents, and young people.<a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-363262 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"254\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The festival featured an exhibition of artistic paintings and models representing various Syrian governorates, along with a series of athletic performances, including karate, taekwondo, calisthenics, cycling, archery, and inclusive sports demonstrations such as football and basketball for persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his opening speech, the Governor of Damascus emphasized that \u201cDamascus Prepares\u201d is more than a sports initiative; it is a comprehensive civic project encompassing athletics, culture, and social development.<a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-363263 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"257\" height=\"144\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For his part, the Minister of Culture stated that Syria\u2019s cultural and civilizational identity would be repositioned to reflect the dignity and resilience of its people.
