Damascus Countryside, SANA \u2013 Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi visited a number of restaurants, hotels, and tourist facilities in Damascus Countryside, inspecting the services they provide and the scale of damage caused to some of them by terrorists.<\/p>\n

The tour covered the lounge at Damascus International Airport, Zaman al-Khair complex, Happy Land amusement park, the 1001 Nights complex, and a number of restaurants in Sayyeda Zainab area.<\/p>\n

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry is prepared to provide various forms of support to the owners of facilities that wish to reopen them on partial basis, noting that some investors have already expressed desire to repair and reopen their facilities with help from the government.<\/p>\n

Accompanying Yazigi on the tour, Damascus Countryside Governor Hussein Makhlouf said a committee was formed to assess damages to tourist facilities, adding that priority in providing compensations will be given to owners of facilities that intend to reopen them partially or fully.<\/p>\n
