Damascus, SANA – Media and Communications Directorate at the Defense Ministry stressed that the Defense Ministry, represented by the Minister of Defense, Major General Engineer Marhaf Abu Qasra, followed up on reports of shocking and serious violations committed by an unknown group wearing military uniforms in Sweida governorate.<\/p>\n
The Directorate said on its telegram channel \u201cBased on the Ministry’s strict directives prohibiting any non-affiliated forces from entering the military operations zone, a committee has been Set up to detect violations that occurred in Sweida, and open a probe on the perpetrator’s background.<\/p>\n
The Directorate stated that \u201cThose who committed these violations will face the maximum penalty, once they are identified\u201d. Defense Minister, Major General Engineer Marhaf Abu Qasra, will personally and directly follow up on the Committee’s investigations.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerpetrators of these violations will not be tolerated even though they were of the ministry’s personnel\u201d Defense Minister said according to the Directorate.<\/p>\n
“We stressed, in previous statements that, several regional groups were present in Sweida and carried out revenge operations there\u201d the Directorate said. \u201cInvestigations will include everyone featured in the shocking and horrific reports, results will be exposed once the committee concludes its mission\u201d the Directorate asserted.<\/p>\n
