Riyad, SANA \u2013 Chairman of the Saudi-Syrian Business Council, Mohammed Abunayyan affirmed that the council was set up at a key time as Syria prepares to rebuild and achieve security, stability, and prosperity.<\/p>\n
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Abunayyan, said the council is promoting a plan for 2025-2030 to boost economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria, highlight opportunities, support partnerships, and ease trade and export procedures for Saudi companies.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019The plan aims to help the Saudi private sector invest in Syria’s reconstruction and development by supporting exports and simplifying processes in sectors like infrastructure, trade, real estate, tourism, industry, and food security\u2019, he added.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019The council includes senior Saudi officials and active international investors, increasing its chances of success in boosting trade and investment between the two countries\u2019\u2019, the chairman went on to say.<\/p>\n
On July 24, at the People’s Palace in Damascus, the Syrian-Saudi Investment Forum was held with ministers, businessmen, and investors attending. Forty-seven agreements and MoUs worth $6 billion were inked, marking a key step toward stronger economic and investment ties.<\/p>\n
