Warsaw, SANA \u2013 A Syrian Culture Day was held at the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation of Almamer University in Poland.<\/p>\n
The event included a photo exhibition at which 40 photos of the most prominent tourist, historical and archeological sites and monuments in Syria were showcased.<\/p>\n
The photos showed features of the sites and monuments before and after the destruction that was inflicted upon them at the hands of terrorists in areas they overran.<\/p>\n
A 25-minute Arabic-speaking documentary, with English subtitles, was screened in the course of the Culture Day. It provided an insight into some aspects of the intentionally-inflicted vandalism acts against tourist and historical sites in Syria.<\/p>\n
The event, which was organized by the Syrian Embassy in Warsaw and the National Union of Syrian Students \u2013Poland Branch, marked the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Syria’s Independence Day.<\/p>\n
Charg\u00e9 d’affaires at the Embassy Idris Maya delivered a lecture at the event in which he presented a review of the situation in Syria and the nature of the terrorist war waged against it by international and regional sides.<\/p>\n
For his part, the dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation spoke of the importance of this event and other similar activities in terms of introducing the Syrian culture and civilization to students and teachers at the University, expressing regret at the cultural damage caused by the terrorists in Syria.<\/p>\n
