Tehran, SANA – Iran and Switzerland stressed on\u00a0dialogue as being the means to settle the crisis\u00a0in Syria.<\/p>\n
The two countries’ stress came at a meeting on\u00a0Tuesday between the Special Envoy of the Swiss\u00a0Foreign Affairs Ministry, Head of the\u00a0Development and Cooperation Department, Manuel\u00a0Bessler and Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister\u00a0Hossein Amir Abdullahian, on the sidelines of a\u00a0Syrian-Iranian-Swiss meeting that was held in\u00a0Tehran to coordinate sending humanitarian aid to
\nSyria.<\/p>\n
Achieving the objective of dialogue in Syria\u00a0demands control of the Syrian borders with\u00a0neighboring countries to halt the flow of arms and\u00a0weaponry to the terrorist organizations in Syria,\u00a0said Abdullahian.<\/p>\n
While asserting that the Syrian people are the\u00a0only ones who determine their country’s political\u00a0future, Abdullahian called for exerting\u00a0efforts to create the appropriate conditions to\u00a0ensure the return of displaced\u00a0Syrians to their home.<\/p>\n
For his part, Bessler affirmed that Switzerland\u00a0supports any plan that may contribute to settling\u00a0the crisis in Syria and is ready to\u00a0cooperate with the United Nations and its special\u00a0envoy for Syria\u00a0Staffan de Mistura.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted the need to provide the\u00a0necessary environment for conducting a dialogue\u00a0among the Syrian sides.<\/p>\n
