Tartous, SANA \u2013 The authorities and the Customs of Tartous seized on Saturday 2.7 million Captagon tablets meant to be trafficked outside the country.<\/p>\n

The narcotics were intricately placed within metal-made tires that are used for heavy machinery and concealed in a way that make them undetectable by scan, Chief of Tartous Customs Fayssal Ali said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the narcotics were hidden in 14 tires, 190,000 tablets in each.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Drugs Combating Department arrested in Damascus and its countryside five drug pushers and seized 2 kg of Heroine and an amount of Cocaine that were in their possession.<\/p>\n

Efforts of combating drugs in the country have been intensified over the past period with\u00a0the aim to keep Syria in a position where it is considered among the top drugs-free countries.<\/p>\n
