{"id":38734,"date":"2015-05-02T17:25:38","date_gmt":"2015-05-02T14:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=38734"},"modified":"2015-05-02T20:38:00","modified_gmt":"2015-05-02T17:38:00","slug":"anti-measles-vaccination-campaign-reaches-over-147000-children-in-hasaka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=38734","title":{"rendered":"Anti-measles vaccination campaign reaches over 147,000 children in Hasaka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hasaka, SANA \u2013 Over 147,000 children between the ages of 7 months and five years were vaccinated against measles in the northeastern province of Hasaka.<\/p>\n<p>Those included 10, 213 children under 1 year who were given measles vaccines and 137,000 other children aged between 1 and 5 years, who were given the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccines, according to the Health Department of Hasaka.<\/p>\n<p>This was carried out in the framework of a national 12-day anti-measles vaccination campaign which ended last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign, , which was organized by the Health Ministry in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF), targeted about 2,670,937 children all around Syria.<\/p>\n<p>It coincided with a catch-up immunization schedule for children who missed shots during\u00a0previous vaccination campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>Hasaka Health Department has already carried out this year two rounds of anti-polio vaccination campaign, reaching around 245,000 children in each round.<\/p>\n<p>Haifa Said<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hasaka, SANA \u2013 Over 147,000 children between the ages of 7 months and five years were vaccinated against measles in the northeastern province of Hasaka.
