Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi\u00a0stressed the necessity of finding a clear mechanism of the process of delivering\u00a0medical supplies and vaccines to the difficult-to-reach areas to ensure that these\u00a0materials are delivered to the people in need and that these materials are being used in\u00a0the best way to avoid any mistakes that could adversely affect the health of the citizens.<\/p>\n

\nMeeting Director of International Committee of the\u00a0Red Cross (ICRC) operations Dominique Steinhardt accompanied by head of the ICRC\u00a0commission in Syria Marianne Gasser on Thursday, Dr. Yazigi expressed his ministry’s\u00a0readiness to facilitate all measures connected with delivering humanitarian aid to all\u00a0areas based on a strategy which meets the necessary health requirements.<\/p>\n

The Health Minister hailed the efforts exerted by\u00a0the ICRC in enhancing health services, reiterating the Ministry’s keenness to cooperate\u00a0with the international organizations working in the health sector in Syria for\u00a0guaranteeing the delivery of health services to all citizens across the country.<\/p>\n

The Ministry, neutrally and transparently, seeks\u00a0to offer the necessary health services to treat the injured and the patients and ensure\u00a0medicines, medical equipment and ambulatory services to all areas along with its work for\u00a0enhancing partnership with different bodies working in the health issues on the national\u00a0level, mainly the civil associations and non -governmental organizations, Dr. Yazigi\u00a0elaborated.<\/p>\n

Steinhardt, for his part, expressed the ICRC\u00a0readiness for full coordination with the Ministry of Health on the delivering of any\u00a0medical assistance to Syria, appreciating facilitation measures provided by the Syrian\u00a0government to deliver humanitarian aid to various areas.<\/p>\n

Last April, Gasser said, during a visit to Aleppo\u00a0Province, that the work plan in Aleppo during the upcoming phase will concentrate on\u00a0supporting the water and health services and environmental sanitation, equipping the make-shift\u00a0centers and the alternative limb project, in support and coordination with the\u00a0Syrian government.<\/p>\n
