Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and armed forces on Saturday continued to tighten noose around foreign-backed terrorist organizations across the country, killing and injuring scores of their members and destroying their weaponry.<\/p>\n
Idleb<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Many Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed in a series of raids carried out by special groups of the army in Jabal al-Arbaeen in the countryside of Idleb, a military source told SANA.<\/p>\n The Army’s raids came to consolidate control of the main points in Jabal al-Arbaeen, a strategic mountain overlooking sprawling areas of the province’s countryside.<\/p>\n Large quantities of weapons belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra were destroyed in the raids.<\/p>\n Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of many of their members, including Nasser al-Shahrani, Younes Ahmad Matroud and Abdul-Aziz Muhammad al-Abboud.<\/p>\n Another army unit destroyed several terrorist hideouts and concentrations in the surroundings of Maartabi’e town in Idleb countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles including 7 armored vehicles.<\/p>\n Damascus Countryside<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Army units continued operations against armed terrorist groups in al-Zabadani and Eastern Ghouta areas in Damascus Countryside, killing scores of them and destroying their weaponry and vehicles.<\/p>\n SANA’s reporter said the army killed a number of terrorists, including non-Syrian terrorists- near Douma and destroyed a number of terrorists\u2019 hideouts and gatherings in Ayn Tarma, Jobar, Zamalka, and Erbin.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, an army unit clashed with terrorists near Harasta and killed a number of them and dismantled a number of explosive devices they had planted in the area.<\/p>\n The army killed and injured a number of terrorists and destroyed their weaponry in al-Zabadani and al-Nashabyeh.<\/p>\n Homs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The source said the army has stepped up operations\u00a0against terrorist organizations fighting in the iconic Palmyra archeological area and other\u00a0areas in the central Homs province.<\/p>\n The Army Air Force targeted ISIS terrorists around Ark and Hill and Jazal oil fields in the countryside of Homs, killing dozens of them and destroying their weapons and equipment.<\/p>\n Army units are fighting fierce battles around Ark oil field and near the Oil Pump Station \/3\/ and al-Mazare’ area in eastern and northern Palmyra, killing 150\u00a0of ISIS terrorists.<\/p>\n An\u00a0army unit destroyed a heavy machinegun- equipped vehicle and killed all terrorists on\u00a0board in Qarat al-Tawahin area in the direction of Jabal al-Shaer area in the\u00a0countryside of Palmyra.<\/p>\n Army units repulsed infiltration attempts of ISIS terrorists who tried to advance on the radio broadcasting hill south of the ancient Palmyra Citadel, killing many of them and destroying their weapons.<\/p>\n Another units thwarted attempts of ISIS groups to infiltrate to the 3rd Station east of Palmyra, destroying 5 armored vehicles and killing scores of their members, most of them non-Syrians.<\/p>\n An\u00a0army unit killed terrorists and destroyed\u00a0their weapons and ammunition in the villages of al-Msheirfeh al-Shamaliyeh, Um Sahrij,\u00a0Masaadeh and Rajm al-Qasr, 70 km to the east of Homs.<\/p>\n In the northern countryside of Homs, other army\u00a0units carried out concentrated operations against several hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra\u00a0terrorists in al-Rastan city, killing and injuring many of them.<\/p>\n Another \u00a0army unit eliminated terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) while trying to attack Ebla gas pipeline to the northeast of Um al-Tababir village in the countryside of central province of\u00a0Homs.<\/p>\n Hama<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Army units thwarted armed terrorist groups\u2019 attempts to infiltrate towards al-Sabbourah-Etheria axis and near SyriaTel and al-Rihraha area in Hama eastern countryside, killing several of their members.<\/p>\n The source added that an army unit launched intensive strikes against Jabhat al-Nusra dens in al-Latamnah village in the province’s\u00a0countryside, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons.<\/p>\n Sweida<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile, a unit of the army thwarted an armed terrorist group\u2019s attempt to infiltrate into Tal Asfar in the northeastern countryside of Sweida province.<\/p>\n All members of the terrorist group were killed and injured during the clash in the area, in addition to the destruction of the terrorists\u2019 weapons, ammunition and vehicles equipped with various kinds of machineguns.<\/p>\n The source added that an army unit killed in a military operation all members of an armed terrorist group near Dama town to the northwest of Sweida city.<\/p>\n A number of vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns belonging to terrorists were destroyed.<\/p>\n Quneitra<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n An army unit also killed a number of “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorists to the south of Tal Mashara in the countryside of Quneitra southern province, destroying a vehicle equipped with a heavy machine gun.<\/p>\n Terrorist organizations confessed, on their pages on social networking websites, to the death of their members including terrorist “As’aad al-Joulani” from the so-called “al-Jaish al-Awal in Quneitra”.<\/p>\n Daraa\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n In Daraa countryside, an army unit struck a terrorist group’s gathering to the north of Dael town where many were killed and others injured.<\/p>\n In Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city, the army targeted terrorist positions in al-Kark and al-Bajabijeh areas, leaving many terrorists dead or wounded and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.<\/p>\n Terrorist organizations confirmed the death of many of their members on the social networking websites including the terrorists Atef Khedr al-Tamber
