Damascus, SANA – Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi affirmed on Wednesday that the Syrian media is playing an increasingly important role in confronting the internationally-devised war waged against Syria.<\/p>\n
This role has materialized in the Syrian media managing to bring\u0644 the Syrians together in “serious and real” dialogue sessions that address all of them regardless of their different viewpoints, al-Zoubi said in a statement while visiting a plastic art exhibition held on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of launching Talaqi TV channel.<\/p>\n
He also referred to the Syrian media’s role in unmasking the misleading and falsification practiced by hostile media outlets against Syria since the very beginning of the war in 2011.<\/p>\n
Talaqi TV was first inaugurated on October 6, 2012, only to be officially launched on May 20, 2013. It provides coverage of local, cultural, political, social and economic issues.<\/p>\n
The satellite channel broke last November a Guinness World Record for longest marathon television talk show, completing a 70-hour marathon TV program that had been dubbed \u201cFrom Syria with Love.\u201d<\/p>\n
