Tartous, SANA – A shopping festival was launched\u00a0Sunday at Tartous Governorate shopping complex in\u00a0the coastal city of Tartous on the advent of the\u00a0holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
A week-long festival, organized by the Ministry ofInternal Trade and Consumer Protection represented\u00a0by its organizations, aims at providing various\u00a0food stuff and household needs of the city’s\u00a0locals at lower prices during Ramadan.<\/p>\n
Opening the festival comes in the framework of thepositive intervention’s policy in the local\u00a0markets to ensure the families’ needs of goods and\u00a0consumables during Ramadan, Tartous governor\u00a0Safwan Abu Sa’adi said.<\/p>\n
Abu Sa’adi added that the prices are considered\u00a0factors to encourage and stimulate the citizens on\u00a0purchase and to activate the local markets.<\/p>\n
Director of “SONDOS” Company Ammar al-Ahmad said\u00a0the festival is the outcome partnership among the\u00a0positive intervention companies to ensure the food\u00a0stuff and consumables at lower prices by no less\u00a0than 10 to 50 percent.<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the festival, A consumer Hall\u00a0was opened in Drekeesh city in Tartous Province.<\/p>\n
The hall is located on 400 square meters and\u00a0encompasses various kinds of goods at lower\u00a0prices, al-Ahmad said, noting that another hall\u00a0will be opened in the city of Safita after\u00a0completing preparations.<\/p>\n
The Ministry launched on 20 June another shopping\u00a0festival at Apamea shopping complex in the coastal\u00a0Lattakia city.
