Homs, SANA \u2013 Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Suleiman al-Abbas on Friday toured a number of power facilities in Homs, where they inspected the readiness and needs of these facilities.<\/p>\n
Minister Khamis said that despite all challenges and terrorist attacks on power generating and transferring stations, the situation of power supply is getting better thanks to the achievements of the Syrian army and the efforts of the electricity sector\u2019s workers.<\/p>\n
He added that the Electricity and Petroleum ministries are rehabilitating a number of power institutions and are seeking alternatives that could provide citizens with their needs regarding electricity and fuel.<\/p>\n
In turn, Minister al-Abbas said rehabilitation work on the gas transferring pipelines in al-Qaryatein area is to be completed in the next few hours, which will provide sufficient amount of gas to the southern region, adding that the maintenance teams have completed fixing the \u201c24 Line\u201d pipeline, which was a target of terrorist attack two days ago in the area of Hannoura.<\/p>\n
