Damascus, SANA \u2013 Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad on Sunday met Director of the Political Bureau at the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in Damascus, Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, discussing with him the latest developments and political activities in the region.<\/p>\n
Mikdad denounced the heinous crime committed by Israeli settlers against al-Dawabsha family when they burned down the family’s house, killing an infant child and his father, describing it as a war crime and calling for the UN to try the Israeli entity which ignores international legitimacy.<\/p>\n
He also asserted that Syria supports the Palestinian people and their struggle to claim their just rights, voicing support for Palestine’s efforts to have the Security Council issue a decision on setting a timetable to end occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.<\/p>\n
For his part, Abdul-Hadi voiced support for finding a political solution in Syria based on dialogue among Syrians and aiding them in their battle against terrorism.<\/p>\n
