Tehran, SANA Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi\u00a0discussed Monday with his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Hassan Hashemi means of\u00a0boosting bilateral cooperation in the health and medical sector between Syria and Iran and\u00a0mechanisms of supporting this sector in Syria.<\/p>\n

Cooperation in the medical field, medicine\u00a0industry and in ensuring the requirement of the health and medical sector enhances the resilience\u00a0of the Syrian people who have suffered FROM the terror of the terrorist groups and the\u00a0unfair siege imposed on them, Yazigi, who is in a current visit to Tehran, said.<\/p>\n

The Minister pointed out that bilateral\u00a0cooperation in the field of generic drugs
\nindustry, installing productive lines for them and training\u00a0and qualifying cadres supports the health sector in Syria.<\/p>\n

He thanked Iran for supporting the Syrian people\u00a0in confronting the war waged against their country.<\/p>\n

Iranian Health Minister, in turn, expressed his\u00a0Ministry’s readiness to offer all requirements of the health and medical sector in\u00a0Syria including medicine and medical equipment, particularly in field of the medical\u00a0services, producing various kinds of medicines and the scientific and academic\u00a0rehabilitation in order to enhance the resilience of the Syrian people.<\/p>\n

In a joint press conference, the two Ministers\u00a0renewed firm determination to serious work and cooperation to meet the needs of health sector\u00a0in Syria.<\/p>\n

Minister Yazigi, also, discussed with Iranian Head\u00a0of Food and Medicines Organization Rasoul Dinarvand and members of the Iranian Unions and\u00a0various medicine companies means of enhancing cooperation in the medical field.<\/p>\n

Last May, Syria and Iran signed a number of\u00a0agreements in the investment, health, electricity and industry fields.<\/p>\n

The agreement in the health sector between the two\u00a0sides provided for continuing supply of medicines and the medical equipment of the\u00a0hospitals related to the health and the higher education sectors and the medical services\u00a0department in the Interior Ministry.
