Moscow, SANA – Deputy Speaker of the Russian State\u00a0Duma Nikolai Levichev reiterated Russia’s firm stances towards Syria.<\/p>\n

During his meeting with the delegation of the\u00a0follow-up committee of the Syrian National Dialogue, visiting Moscow recently, Levichev said\u00a0that the Council consists of four political blocs, three of them are opposition\u00a0blocks; the Duma blocs differ towards many issues, mainly the internal issues, but they are\u00a0united towards the international issues, particularly the crisis in Syria.<\/p>\n

The crisis in Syria has become during the last few\u00a0years one of the most serious challenges towards the international community, he said,\u00a0asserting that the stance towards the crisis in Syria tests the efficiency of the international\u00a0structure of the political relations among the countries and its viability.<\/p>\n

He expressed Russian people’s regret towards\u00a0destruction of the outstanding antiquity of Baalshamin Temple in Palmyra at the hands of the\u00a0Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists.<\/p>\n

For his part, Head of the delegation, State\u00a0Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar said All countries are today talking about\u00a0the necessity of finding a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria, including the\u00a0hostile countries, but we are convinced that those countries want, throughout their daily\u00a0behavior, to move to a political process with continued war on Syria and without stopping\u00a0violence and terrorism.<\/p>\n

The West wants to move to a political process by\u00a0its tools, which it previously called foreign opposition and under the pressure of\u00a0continued violence on the ground and under the claim of fighting terrorism, but without a\u00a0true fight against it, Haidar elaborated.<\/p>\n

He continued.. what the Syrian people want is to\u00a0continue the track of Moscow to ensure a better platform for launching the political\u00a0process in Geneva3, which the west is accelerating.<\/p>\n

In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow,\u00a0Mohammad Feras Nadim an official at the Syrian Democratic Party said .. Russian support to\u00a0the Syrian people would achieve the global peace and security, as well as it\u00a0constitutes a support to the political solution.<\/p>\n
