Gen. Hossein Hamedani was killed in the line of performing an advisory mission in Syria.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Omran-al-Zoubi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-57384\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Omran-al-Zoubi-300x160.jpg\" alt=\"Omran al-Zoubi\" width=\"300\" height=\"160\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Omran-al-Zoubi-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Omran-al-Zoubi.jpg 308w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a statement to SANA, the Minister praised the virtues of the late Brigadier General, who was targeted by the terrorist organizations in Aleppo countryside on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Zoubi expressed Syria\u2019s condolences to Hamedani\u2019s family and the Iranian people and leadership and Congratulated them over the \u201cgreat martyrdom\u201d of the late commander.<\/p>\n<p>Iran paid last tribute today to Hamedani, whose body was escorted to his final resting place amid wide official and popular participation.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of Iran&#8217;s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Chief Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari were present at the funeral ceremony, which was also attended by the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/funeral-Hossein-Hamedani-Iran-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-57383\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/funeral-Hossein-Hamedani-Iran-1-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"funeral-Hossein Hamedani-Iran 1\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/funeral-Hossein-Hamedani-Iran-1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/funeral-Hossein-Hamedani-Iran-1.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador said Hamedani reflected in his martyrdom the close link binding the front of the Resistance, which is being further strengthened today in the face of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Manar al-Frieh\/H.
