Moscow, SANA – The Russian Air Force carried out\u00a064 sorties against terrorists’ infrastructure in Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Raqqa over the last 24\u00a0hours, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.<\/p>\n
A statement by the Ministry said the airstrikes\u00a0were carried out by Sukhoi Su-24M and Su-34\u00a0bombers and Su-25SM assault aircraft and caused the\u00a0destruction of 53 fortified zones, 7 arms depots,\u00a04 training camps and a command post, in addition to
\nmortar launchers and artillery emplacements.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry\u00a0Igor Konashenkov said in the vicinity of the city of Saraqeb in Idleb province, an artillery\u00a0position known for inflicting strikes on the\u00a0nearby residential areas has been exposed and eliminated.
\nA group of Sukhoi Su-24M bombers, he added\u00a0attacked a terrorist field headquarters near Salma\u00a0in Lattakia that has been coordinating operations of\u00a0the terrorists in whole of the province.<\/p>\n
“A direct hit of a guided KAB-500 air bomb
\ncompletely destroyed a building with terrorist commanders,” said the Defense Ministry’s
\nspokesman, adding that “The airstrike also
\neliminated five SUVs with ZU-23 double-barreled 23mm anti-aircraft
\nguns mounted on them that were parked nearby.”<\/p>\n
A Sukhoi Su-24M bomber attacked a thoroughly
\nconcealed position of SUVs with mortar launchers mounted on them near the village of Kafer-Delba in\u00a0Lattakia. As a result of the attack, a mobile sub-artillery battery consisting of four vehicles\u00a0was eliminated, according to Konashenkov.<\/p>\n
He also said that aerial reconnaissance discovered\u00a0a stronghold of terrorists near the village of Atshan in Hama and that a pinpoint airstrike\u00a0carried out by Su-24M aircraft eliminated the installation, along with an ammunition and\u00a0logistics depot.<\/p>\n
