Damascus, SANA- Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi discussed on Sunday with Resident\u00a0Representative of the World Health Organization\u00a0(WHO) in Syria Elizabeth Hoff the joint\u00a0cooperation to enhance health awareness among\u00a0people.<\/p>\n
Al-Zoubi reviewed the ministry’s efforts to raise\u00a0cultural and health awareness, pointing out that\u00a0pre-crisis Syria had gone a long way in the health\u00a0sector in light of the spread of hundreds of\u00a0medical centers and hospitals.<\/p>\n
The minister affirmed that the current crisis has\u00a0posed huge challenges for the health sector due to\u00a0terrorist acts, hailing the role of WHO in\u00a0providing support for the Syrian health sector.<\/p>\n
For her part, Hoff expressed hope in reaching a\u00a0joint plan with Information Ministry and promoting\u00a0joint cooperation and coordination to integrate\u00a0journalists in the issues of preserving public\u00a0health in society and addressing the problems of\u00a0the poor and needy people and families who are\u00a0residing in temporary centers.<\/p>\n
