Damascus, SANA – Cham Wings Airlines ran on Friday\u00a0its first flight from Damascus to the Sudanese capital Khartoum, as the first African station\u00a0within its plan to expand external flights to\u00a0reach all Syrian communities abroad.<\/p>\n
Director of Public Relations at the Sudanese\u00a0Embassy in Damascus Mohammad Salman Fadel told\u00a0SANA that this step “is very important inasmuch as it\u00a0would contribute to encouraging trade between Syria and Sudan and restoring the normal export\u00a0and import movement between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The company’s Commercial Director Nizar Suleiman\u00a0said the new line is a completion of a recently opened network of external lines, including most\u00a0recently between Damascus and Kuwait and Damascus and Muscat.<\/p>\n
Director of Work Development Osama Sate’ said\u00a0Khartoum is an important point on the company’s\u00a0map of travel stations due to the presence of more\u00a0than 400,000 Syrian expatriates there, noting that\u00a0the company seeks to develop commercial shipping\u00a0and activate the goods transport movement between Syria and Sudan.<\/p>\n

Early last September, Cham Wings Airlines ran its\u00a0first flight to the Omani capital, Muscat. It also runs flights to Baghdad, Beirut, Kuwait,\u00a0Doha, Dubai and Istanbul, in addition to its\u00a0internal flights to Qamishli city in northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n
