Damascus, SANA \u2013 A civilian was killed and 12 others were injured on Friday after terrorist groups targeted residential areas in Damascus and its countryside with 20 mortar shells.<\/p>\n
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that terrorists targeted al-Salehia neighborhood in Damascus with a mortar shell, killing a citizen and injuring 4 others.
\nEarlier, 3 civilians, including an 8-year-old child, were injured and 6 vehicles were damaged by 2 mortar shells that hit al-Qasaa neighborhood.<\/p>\n
2 citizens were injured and material damage was caused to citizens\u2019 possessions as a result of targeting al-Abassyin area with 6 shells.<\/p>\n
5 others shells landed in al-Qasaa neighborhood and the area surrounding al-Sofania Park in Bab Touma neighborhood, causing only material damage to the cars which were parked in the area.<\/p>\n
The source added that 3 citizens were injured when a mortar shell hit al-Mawasim Square in al-Zablatani area.<\/p>\n
In al-Fayhaa Sport City, a football playground was damaged when a mortar shell landed in it.<\/p>\n
According to the source, 4 shells hit al-Seil, and Harasta and caused only material damage.<\/p>\n
