Damascus, SANA- Minister of Higher Education\u00a0Mohammad Amer al-Mardini discussed with Charge d’ Affaires of the Indian embassy in\u00a0Damascus S.R. Meena means of enhancing joint scientific cooperation between Syria and\u00a0India and increasing cultural and scientific exchange.<\/p>\n
Al-Mardini stressed the importance of cultural and\u00a0scientific ties connecting the two countries.<\/p>\n
The Minister pointed out that work in the\u00a0scientific program between the two sides continues as they seek to increase scholarships,\u00a0especially the higher studies and the scientific and applied specializations.<\/p>\n
He called for organizing visits of the Indian\u00a0universities to discuss the possibilities of holding twining agreements and joint scientific\u00a0research with those universities.<\/p>\n
For his part, Meena appreciated the distinguished\u00a0relations between the two countries, expressing India’s readiness to offer all forms of\u00a0support to the educational sector in Syria.<\/p>\n
He stressed the importance of eliminating all\u00a0obstacles on increasing scholarships offered to the Syrian universities.<\/p>\n
He urged for participating in the activities\u00a0organized by the embassy aiming at spreading tolerance internal peace among the youth\u00a0sector.<\/p>\n
