{"id":6167,"date":"2014-07-10T23:50:46","date_gmt":"2014-07-10T20:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/?p=6167"},"modified":"2014-07-12T14:52:43","modified_gmt":"2014-07-12T11:52:43","slug":"pm-calls-for-vitalizing-supervision-institutions-for-preserving-public-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=6167","title":{"rendered":"PM calls for vitalizing supervision institutions for preserving public funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi said the government is interested in vitalizing the role of supervision institutions and keeping a close watch on corruption issues to preserve public funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Premier&#8217;s comments came during his meeting Thursday with Najm-Eddin Nemer, who was sworn in as the Supervision and Inspection Central Committee assistance chairman.<\/p>\n<p>The current conditions have spawned new forms of corruption, which requires doubled efforts for clamping down on the corrupt within a set timeframe, al-Halqi said during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6169 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/halqi-2-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"halqi 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/halqi-2-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/halqi-2-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/halqi-2.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\nWith the reconstruction stage now set in motion, al-Halqi cited a need for an &#8220;administrative and ethical ground&#8221; set on solid bases for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development that can be done, according to PM, by uprooting administrative and financial corruption in the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>While emphasizing the importance of &#8220;preemptive supervision&#8221; to preclude forms of corruption materializing, al-Halqi stressed the significance of teamwork within the Supervision and Inspection Central Committee for preventing embezzlement, calling for picking competent cadres capable of carrying out inspection in an optimal way.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Halqi, meanwhile, demanded that all files be settled and appropriate decisions be taken away from favoritism and personal considerations in an atmosphere of social justice transparency for boosting the citizens&#8217; trust in the public sector.<\/p>\n<p>M.
