Damascus, SANA- “The brotherly Omani Sultanate has\u00a0chosen to play a key role in supporting Syria for fighting terrorism as they\u00a0continued their work at the Omani embassy in Damascus,” Deputy Foreign and\u00a0Expatriates Minister, Dr. Faisal Mikdad said Wednesday.<\/p>\n
In a statement to reporters, Mikdad’s hailed, in a\u00a0reception ceremony held on Wednesday at the Damascus-based Dama Rose Hotel\u00a0marking the 45th anniversary of the Omani Independence Day, the Omani political and\u00a0diplomatic role in continuing work for combating terrorism as well as efforts for\u00a0peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria.<\/p>\n
He stressed Oman’s stance in rejecting terrorism\u00a0and the attempts to undermine Syria’s steadfastness.<\/p>\n
He underlined that Oman seeks to find a solution\u00a0to the crisis in Syria through diplomatic ways.<\/p>\n
The Omani foreign policy has always been just and\u00a0in line with its customs and cares for the interest of the Arab, the regional and\u00a0international security and peace, Mikdad concluded.<\/p>\n
Senior Syrian officials, head of diplomatic\u00a0missions, economic and social figures attended the reception.<\/p>\n
