{"id":63978,"date":"2015-12-12T12:00:49","date_gmt":"2015-12-12T10:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=63978"},"modified":"2015-12-12T15:46:32","modified_gmt":"2015-12-12T13:46:32","slug":"after-alexandria-cherry-letters-film-wins-award-in-algeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=63978","title":{"rendered":"After Alexandria, &#8220;Cherry Letters&#8221; film wins award in Algeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA \u2013 After being awarded by Alexandria Film Festival, the Syrian movie &#8220;Cherry Letters&#8221; won the Audience Award at the Mediterranean Film Festival of Annaba in Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>Seen as an important patriotic work of art talking about the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan, the 72 m long film passionately tells a story of love between a boy and a girl and another symbolically-expressed one between a people and a land in a sublime atmosphere of cherry-colored nostalgia.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Syriatel telecommunication company in cooperation with Shaghaf for Art Production Company, the film is the first directing experience of the renowned actress Sulaf Fawakherji.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I dedicate this award to the martyrs of the homeland who sacrificed their souls for Syria&#8217;s sake and for us to continue living, working and creating,&#8221; Fawakherji said on the red carpet at the festival&#8217;s concluding ceremony last Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>In early September, &#8220;Cherry Letters&#8221; movie won the Best Film prize in 31st Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries within the award competitions of the late Nour El-Sherif for Arab film making.<\/p>\n<p>H.
