Tehran, SANA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Jaber Ansari announced that Iran is preparing a list of
\nterrorist groups and another list of Syrian opposition groups to put them forth at the coming meeting of the
\nInternational Group on Syria.<\/p>\n
“Lists on terrorist and opposition groups in Syria have been prepared by relevant organizations and we are working
\non its finalization,” he told the Iranian ISNA news agency.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that his country objected to the list of opposition and terrorist groups which Jordan presented to
\nthe third meeting of the International Group held in New York.<\/p>\n
Ansari said the main players will take part in preparing the lists as it was agreed, noting that the faster the
\nlists are approved the sooner the Syrian dialogue starts in Geneva.<\/p>\n
“We have always stressed that Syrian regional and international players should mainly work on facilitating talks
\nbetween Syrian government and opposition,” said Ansari, noting that there is no room for terrorists at the
\nnegotiating table.<\/p>\n
