New Delhi, SANA-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem affirmed Syria\u2019s readiness to cooperate with India against terrorism in a way that serves the interests of the two countries, international peace and security amid the mounting danger posed by terrorism in all countries.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem was speaking at a meeting with India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval as talks dealt with the political situation in the Middle East and the efforts exerted to combat terrorism and means of finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria as well as enhancing bilateral relations.<\/p>\n
He called for forcing countries which support terrorism to stop backing it because this support represents a serious plague which poses a threat to the stability and security of the world and reveals the non- respect of these countries for UN Security Council’s relevant\u00a0 resolutions.<\/p>\n
For his part, Doval affirmed his country’s interest in combating terrorism and realizing a political solution to the crisis in Syria, saying that terrorism poses a threat to the two countries, the region and the entire world.<\/p>\n
Al-Moallem arrived in India Monday on a 4-day visit to hold talks with Indian officials about the current situation in the region, the world and means of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
