Health situation in Syria is stable despite challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA-Health Minister Nizar Yazigi\u00a0affirmed on Monday the important role of the\u00a0Syrian communities abroad to strengthen the\u00a0steadfastness of their motherland in fighting terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting with a delegation of the Syrian\u00a0community in Italy, Italian SOLID organization and\u00a0the European Solidarity Front for Syria , pointed\u00a0out that the health situation in Syria is stable despite the\u00a0challenges and the economic blockade imposed on\u00a0the Syrian people to the point of securing typical\u00a0medicines and medical supplies.<br \/>\nThe ministry will continue offering health\u00a0services to citizens in all Syrian areas in<br \/>\ncooperation with the local society, the Syrian\u00a0Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC),\u00a0Yazigi added.<\/p>\n<p>The minister cited that the ministry is working on\u00a0rehabilitating health institutions, opening new\u00a0health centers and hospitals and licensing of new\u00a0pharmaceutical factories to meet the growing edical needs, in\u00a0addition to ensuring the medical equipment and\u00a0vaccines from friendly countries, adding that the\u00a0ministry is offering free medication for chronic diseases.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Dr. Jamal Abu Abbas, chairman of\u00a0Syrian community in Italy affirmed that supporting\u00a0Syria and strengthening the steadfastness of\u00a0Syrians in facing the terrorist war waged on it is the duty of all\u00a0Syrians abroad.<br \/>\nMembers of the delegation said that the\u00a0tendentious media campaign in the western outlets\u00a0tried to distort facts and events in Syria in\u00a0order to destroy
